Prior to commencing pupillage, Oliver spent a year and a half at the well-known criminal defence firm Sonn Macmillan Walker. He worked for both legal aid and privately-paying clients and developed a particular expertise dealing with CCTV and complex digital evidence.
While at University, Oliver volunteered for the National Centre for Domestic Violence, making applications for emergency injunctions for those experiencing domestic abuse, and for Broudie Jackson Canter, working on the disclosure stage of the Hillsborough Inquests.
Since joining chambers, Oliver has gained experience in all areas of Criminal Law, both prosecuting and defending.
