Justin McClintock secures not guilty verdicts on all counts in machete gang false imprisonment case

By September 25, 2016No Comments
Justin McClintock has conducted the successful defence of a defendant accused of false imprisonment and robbery. It was suggested that Justin’s client had, as part of a gang, forced his way into a flat where a number of individuals were attacked with machetes / swords. It was further alleged that the gang detained one of the occupants of the flat for several hours. Justin’s cross examination highlighted substantial problems with the quality of the identification evidence in the case and enabled a successful half time submission on all counts faced by the defendant. Justin’s client was the only defendant to be acquitted of all charges on the trial indictment.
Justin was instructed by Shital Maher and Mohamed Kassim of JBR Morgan solicitors.
