Michael Hillman successfully prosecutes two defendants for rape and serious sexual offences.
The defendants Belal Ahmed and Mizad Miah was jointly prosecuted on an indictment alleging two counts of assault by penetration and administering a substance with intent to stupply. Mr Miah was also indicted with Rape.
The defendants stood trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court before HHJ Kamil. After a two week trial both defendants were convicted of all counts on the indictment. Both defendants were judged to be dangerous offenders and sentenced to extended sentences. 11 years imprisonment plus 3 years extended licence for Mr Ahmed and 13 years imprisonment with a 3 year extended licence for Mr Miah.
