Justin McClintock has concluded the successful defence of a client charged with evading millions of pounds of tax owed on cigarettes. Justin successfully argued that the evidence against his client was not sufficient to establish that he knowingly assisted in the evasion of duty and that a reasonable jury could not reject all realistic possibilities consistent with his client’s innocence. Justin’s client had faced a lengthy custodial sentence.
