Beth Crocker, instructed by Danielle Wood of BAC Law, secures multiple rape acquittals.

Beth represented P, a man of good character who was accused of raping his wife on a weekly basis over 6 months, whilst also stalking her and attempting to pervert the course of justice when arrested. P gave evidence that he did not rape his wife, and her allegations were entirely fabricated. Following a fully contested trial, the defendant was acquitted of all sexual allegations. The case involved cross-examination of a vulnerable complainant, navigating the nuances and contextual differences of foreign language interpretation and telephone messages.

The case highlights the importance of instructing an experienced rape barrister when facing serious allegations, and demonstrates how a carefully prepared defence can lead to a rape acquittal.
