Earlier this year Robert Evans secured convictions after a trial that ran for two weeks. The victim withdrew her support for proceedings at an early stage. Despite the offer of special measures she had to be treated as hostile. During the final incident, the defendant broke her jaw, the bones in her eye socket above her eye, the bones in her eye socket below the eye, he shattered her cheek bone and broke, dislocated her arm and bit her thumb so hard the bone broke and her nail came off. The defendants injuries were swelling to his hands and alleged broken bones in his foot. He controlled and coerced her using all manner of surveillance apps on her phone and had cameras installed at their address he could watch remotely from his own phone. The victim did all she could to support him, including claiming the installation of the surveillance apps had been her idea. The defendant was cross-examined into multiple admissions and shown to have lied about key parts of the evidence.
