Alice joined chambers following pupillage with the Crown Prosecution Service. Whilst in-house with the CPS, Alice completed secondments within the RASSO and Homicide units. Alice has a comprehensive knowledge of CPS policy which gives her a tactical advantage in both prosecution and defence work.
Alice enjoys a mixed practice, having been instructed as sole counsel on several serious offences including kidnapping, section 18 GBH, robbery, burglary, drug trafficking, high-level domestic violence and multi-handed conspiracies.
Alice is highly regarded by instructing solicitors as an ‘accomplished advocate’ who is ‘robust and able to deal with difficult clients’ providing a seamless representation experience. Clients have described her excellence in advocacy and speed when rebutting the Crown’s case. As a result, she has received numerous private instructions and regular requests by clients. As a prosecutor, Alice is known for her meticulous case preparation, clear use of case strategy and sensitive communication with complainants.
Beyond her practice, Alice is deeply committed to widening access to the Bar and legal education. She teaches regularly at Gray’s Inn, where she serves as a mooting and ethics coach, Mess Senior and member of the Scholarships Panel. She also coaches for the Griffin access to law project and judge’s debates for the Vocalise prison debate initiative.
