The Privy Council handed down judgment today in a case concerning a complex and protracted dispute about the ownership of a parcel of land in Trinidad and Tobago. Justin McClintock (led Junior acting for the respondents), successfully argued that the trial judge was entitled to conclude that there was no defence to the respondents’ claim to the parcel of land.
Bissoondath Ramlogan SC (a former High Court judge in Trinidad and Tobago) who represented the respondents in the courts below described Anand and Justin’s preparation of the case in the short time before the appeal as ‘incredible’ and their submissions as ‘clear and formidable’.
