John Greenan along with his partner Alessandra are taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro Africa’s highest mountain at 5,895 metres (19,341 feet) above sea level.
They are doing this to raise money for the John King Brain Tumour Foundation (registered charity). The Foundation aims to raise much-needed funds to support the advancement of treatment and research into brain tumours and to purchase a state of the art neurosurgical microscope in association with neurosurgeons at the Atkinson Morley Wing at St Georges Hospital Trust, London.
Brain tumours kill more people under 40 than any other cancer yet just 1% of the annual spend on cancer research is currently allocated to this disease.
