John Waller secured the acquittal of his client at his trial for PWITS Class (both heroin and crack). The Crown alleged that the client was dealing from his hostel and they stopped him in the street after observing what they said was a drug deal. The police then went back to his room where they found a large amount of heroin and crack, scales, money and phones which had messages indicative of drugs dealing. The client said that the drugs were for personal use and through robust cross examination of the police officers and the Crowns drug expert the jury accepted this unanimously.
