On 9 August Justin McClintock’s submissions in the Court of Appeal led to a two year reduction in the appellant’s sentence for his role in what the prosecution asserted was a conspiracy to supply cocaine worth £2.5 million The Court of Appeal accepted Justin’s central submission that the appellant incorrectly received a sentence that was outside the relevant sentencing guideline. Accordingly, the appellant’s sentence of imprisonment was reduced from 13 years to 11 years.
