In R. (on the application of Wright) v CPS [2015] EWHC 628 (Admin) the appellant had been convicted of possessing a quantity of Psilocybin (magic mushrooms), a controlled drug of Class A. Justin McClintock (instructed by Kim Lee of Fosse Law) successfully argued that ‘expert evidence’ regarding the identification of the mushrooms as Psilocybin was flawed and that equivocal admissions made by the appellant regarding the nature of the mushrooms had been incorrectly relied upon.
