Online Seminar Wednesday, 24th June, 11:00 – 13:00

The Youth Justice Legal Centre invites you to join us in launching our Legal Guide and Policy Briefing on Turning 18 in the criminal justice system.

Speakers:

Mr Justice William Davis QC
Dr Enys Delmage, Consultant in Adolescent Forensic Psychiatry
David Emanuel QC, Garden Court Chambers

Katya Moran, Youth Justice Legal Centre (chair)

About the event:

Those who commit offences in childhood but are not proceeded against until they have turned 18 face significant injustice.

In order to address the issue, we are publishing a legal guide to help practitioners navigate the different regimes, rules and principles that apply. In addition, our policy briefing examines the broader issues and makes proposals for change.

Please join us for this online seminar to hear a variety of perspectives from leading experts in their fields and to learn more about the issues, which are particularly relevant in light of the Covid-19 crisis.

Registration and further details on Eventbrite.
Access to the seminar will be provided by email prior to the event
