, instructed by GQS Solicitors
, secured the unanimous acquittal of his client, CF. CF had bitten off part of the earlobe of his employer during a fight at the office. The strange turn of events occurred when his employer criticised his work and CF was alleged to have reacted with a physical assault that resulted in him biting the ear until a piece was completely severed.
CF, who successfully argued self-defence, stated that his employer attacked him with the help of another man in the office. He was in genuine fear for his safety and, with his arms being held behind his back, only had his teeth to defend himself with. The jury at Birmingham Crown Court acquitted in under an hour.
