A large supermarket chain in South-West London received some unusual and unwanted visitors in July 2021. The arrival of Spiderman, Ali G, Little Red Riding Hood, a Little Britain character, a nun, a military character and a young woman in her pyjamas led to a brawl in the supermarket in front of shoppers, staff and online viewers. The 7 defendants, who were charged with violent disorder, attended the supermarket as part of an online prank which was being watched live on social media. Following extensive analysis of the CCTV and mobile phone footage Beth and John’s clients were acquitted at Court. The other 5 defendants entered guilty pleas to reflect their behaviour.
Beth Crocker was instructed by Ben Dobson of Dobson Fisher Solicitors.
John Greenan was instructed by Lansbury Worthington Solicitors.
