John Waller secured the unanimous acquittal in a complex case of coercive and controlling behavior. It had been alleged by the prosecution that the defendant had abused the complainant over several years. This included violence, the control of finances, mobile phones, social media, clothing, friendship groups and sex. Through cross-examination and the careful presentation of defence exhibits John was able to prove that this allegation was without foundation. The jury agreed and returned quickly with unanimous not guilty verdicts.
John was instructed by Tony Meisels of Lewis Nedas Law.
