John Waller successful at Old Bailey in Firearm Case

Following a two month trial at the Central Criminal Court John’s client was acquitted of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. The case centered on thousands of messages that had been obtained following the breaking of the encrochat network. The Crown alleged that the gun that was found in possession of John’s client was to be used in a ‘hit’ that had been arranged by his three co-defendants. Those co-defendants were on trial for conspiracy to murder and were all acquitted. The acquittal was the culmination of four years of hard work by both John and Stuart Harris at HP Gower Solicitors. John was the only junior alone on the trial, the co-defendants and the Crown were all represented by King’s and Junior Counsel.
