Justin McClintock has concluded the successful defence of a young man accused of attacking a woman in a night club, causing her extensive injuies. The defendant was also accused of an offence of actual bodily harm in respect of another woman at the same venue. The defendant was arrested by police who saw him running away after he had left the venue.
The defendant asserted that the force he had used was in self-defence. Justin made a successful submission of no case to answer in respect of one of the counts before the jury then returned unanimous not guilty verdicts on the remaining counts having deliberated for less than an hour.
