Tim Banks secures perverting the course of justice acquittal

Tim Banks successfully represented a senior prison officer charged with assaulting a prisoner and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. It was alleged that the officer instructed three junior prison officers to falsify paperwork in order to “cover up” two separate assaults on the prisoner. The case involved defence assertions of dishonesty on the part of the prisoner and other other prison officers. The case is reported here.
