Sarah’s client was a young man of good character charged with making indecent images of children. At the trial, Sarah made a successful submission of no case to answer at the end of the prosecution case in relation to three out of four charges. The prosecution initially sought a re-trial in relation to the outstanding count. Sarah then assisted on drafting representations to the prosecution to argue that there was not a realistic prospect of conviction. Following consideration of these representations, the prosecution offered no evidence.
Sarah was instructed by John Armstrong of Armstrong Solicitors.
