LE was charged with offences involving the contamination of foods at 3 different supermarkets in a highly unusual case. After a trial involving 2 expert witnesses LE was found not guilty by reason of insanity and in due course transferred to a secure hospital.
The judge indicated that he was considering a s41 Restriction Order. However following the live evidence of a further 2 experts and written and oral submissions, Kyri convinced the judge that only a s37 Hospital Order was needed.
