John Waller has secured the acquittal of his client in a case of significant violence and controlling and coercive behaviour. The Crown relied on multiple recording’s of alleged violence and anger directed at the complainant and multiple photographs of injuries. The Crown also relied on text messages which the Crown alleged showed the client confessing to assaulting the complainant. Over the course of a nine day trial John was able to systematically take the Crowns case apart and secure acquittals on the multi-count indictment.
